SGT-8000H

The proven Siemens SGT-8000H series is a gas turbine model of top performance and efficiency. Short start-up times, high operational flexibility, and simple plant integration make it the gas turbine of choice for state-of-the-art combined cycle plants. In the Lausward power plant in Dsseldorf, Germany, the SGT5-8000H demonstrated a combined cycle efficiency of more than 61 percent.

The SGT5-8000H gas turbine for the 50Hz market and the SGT6-8000H gas turbine for the 60Hz market use many proven features from predecessor products, and the design concept was validated by a thorough test program at the Siemens testing facility, as well as an intense prototype testing in the Irsching power plant. In 2015, 16 Siemens H-class gas turbines were installed worldwide, cumulating a fleet experience of more than 150,000 fired hours.

Moderate firing temperatures allow the use of proven materials and provide for high reliability and low maintenance, leading to excellent availability. The SGT-8000H turbine series uses full on-board air cooling with valves for controlled cooling air supply, to cover the needs of different operating conditions. With world class fast cold start and hot restart capability, eg., combined cycle base load within 30min for hot start, the turbines provide a high operational flexibility.
