Dear Community Members,
Please advise if you have come across of pitting and material loss in an oil channel in the casing (Module 03). This is normally a fully flooded oil galley and hence defects of this type are a first for us and the manufacturer. We are also concerned it may be evidence of Static Electrical discharge from the oil. What would be the mechanism of material lose i.e. Corrosive or Erosive?
Note: Module inspection done in line with central bearing failure RCFA
