ETN Global input to EU Data Centre Labelling Framework-April2026
ETN Global has submitted its input to the European Commission on the proposed EU energy efficiency rating scheme for data centres. While supporting the use of key indicators such as PUE, WUE, ERF and REF, ETN Global calls for a more comprehensive framework. Our recommendations highlight the importance of grid integration & flexibility, advanced cooling solutions & effective heat reuse, a more accurate assessment of environmental impact, including CO₂ intensity, and considerations for fuel flexibility. Overall, we advocate for a labelling system that reflects real system value and supports a resilient, low-carbon European energy system.
