ETN Global’s Technical Lead, Giuseppe Tilloca, took part in Turbomachinery International’s online symposium on 20 November 2025: Powering Progress – Strategies & Solutions for Turbomachinery in a Shifting Energy Landscape. He was joined by leading experts:
- Rainer Kurz, RKSBenergy
- Francesco Moscatelli, Ansaldo Energia
- Brian Bigelow, EthosEnergy
- Kevin Kovanda, American Chemical Technologies
In his presentation, “Turbomachinery as Scalable Solutions to Meet Rising Energy and Peak Load Demands”, he explored the changing role of gas turbines. Once seen as a declining technology, gas turbines are now experiencing a notable revival as regions respond to growing demand and changing operating conditions. He highlighted the different trends shaping markets across Europe, the United States, Asia, and the Middle East, and explained the drivers behind this renewed momentum. He also addressed shared challenges, including operational unpredictability, ageing assets, and the need for greater cost efficiency. He closed with practical recommendations on how the turbomachinery community can adapt and collaborate to manage the sector’s evolving demands.
