Keynote sessions
The keynote sessions at the IGTC-12 were devoted to the contribution of GT technology to climate change mitigation, emissions reduction, energy efficiency and to the flexible, integrated operation of electricity grids. Energy policies and initiatives for GT technology development in Europe and on a global were presented followed by a panel discussion with distinguished experts and high-level policy makers.

Technical sessions
Technical sessions at the conference addressed the critical research and development activities necessary for the advancement of gas turbine technology, from both an operational and environmental perspective. Recent GT technology advances and potential new, innovative solutions were explored. There was a mix of research initiatives and experience reports from real case applications, giving a balanced view of the future research requirements for GT applications.
