ETN Global – 2025 Brian Pitt Excellence Award Final
ETN Global is inviting you to the “Brian Pitt Excellence Award” Online Final. The event will take place on 8 July 2025 at 14:00 (CET).
After the evaluation in the initial stages, five Master Students were selected and invited to present their summarised theses in a 7-minute presentation during the ETN Global Master’s Thesis Competition:
- Krzysztof Danielak (Cranfield University), with a Master’s Thesis on “Use of methanol as a potential alternative fuel in a power generation gas turbine”
- Franco Agustin Rizzi (Politecnico di Torino), with a Master’s Thesis on “CFD Analysis of a Lean Premixed Gas Turbine Combustor for H2 Applications”
- Thomas Hollweck (TU Munich), with a Master’s Thesis on “Adjoint-accelerated Bayesian Inference in a 3D Helmholtz Solver for Thermoacoustic Test Rigs”
- Jean Bériot (UMons), with a Master’s Thesis on “Uncovering the economic tipping point between H2-based Gas Turbines and CCS-enhanced Gas Turbines” and
- Mohammad Aatif Qazi (University of Alberta), with a Master’s Thesis on “Dispersoid -strengthened High Entropy Alloy (HEA) Coatings for Hydrogen Embrittlement Resistance Developed Via Thermal Spraying”
The winner of this competition will be announced at the end of the event.
