Must-know information about US HLUM 2025:
In recognition of the evolving global energy landscape and the need for regionally informed strategies, ETN Global has introduced a dual-format High-Level User Meeting (HLUM) structure. Building on the success of our flagship Global HLUM, we launched a dedicated regional HLUM in the Americas in 2023 to better reflect the diversity of energy markets, regulatory environments, and technological priorities. These invitation-only forums bring together senior decision-makers and gas turbine experts from the end-user community to define critical development needs and shape ETN Global’s strategic focus. By fostering direct engagement at both regional and global levels, the HLUMs aim to strengthen the collective voice of the user community and enhance the resilience, profitability, and sustainability of turbomachinery operations worldwide.
If you are a user interested in attending this meeting but have not received an invitation, please get in touch with ETN Global’s Client Relationship Manager, Antonio Escamilla, at aep[at]etn.global.
Held just before the Baker Hughes Annual Aeroderivative Conference (8–9 October), this Regional High-Level User Meeting offers a valuable opportunity for gas turbine users from the Americas and beyond to align, share insights, and coordinate their priorities. The session will serve as a strategic forum to strengthen a unified user voice in advance of the Baker Hughes meeting, while also feeding directly into ETN Global’s broader technical agenda and global user dialogue. Specifically, the meeting will aim to:
-
Exchange insights on regional market trends, decarbonisation strategies, and evolving technology needs
-
Identify and prioritise key regional barriers to achieving resilient, profitable, and sustainable operations
-
Ensure user-driven input shapes ETN Global’s technical initiatives and working group activities
-
Develop coordinated user messages to be shared during the Baker Hughes meeting and at IGTC 2025
-
Contribute to a unified, global user perspective in preparation for the Global HLUM (13 October 2025, Brussels)
This regional forum will help ensure that the perspectives of the Americas are strongly reflected in ETN Global’s strategic direction and global advocacy.
The US HLUM agenda is structured to ensure strategic alignment, deep sectoral insight, and actionable outcomes. Highlights include:
- Welcome & Introduction
Review of key developments in the gas turbine market and reflection on progress since HLUM 2024. - Alignment and Progress
Assessment of how ETN Global’s ongoing initiatives align with evolving end-user needs. - Prioritised Challenges
In-depth, cross-sector discussions on a select number of high-impact challenges, identified in advance by participants. - Alignment of User’s Voice for the Baker Hughes Aeroderivative Meeting
- Action Planning
Definition of targeted next steps for 2026 and formulation of a joint message to the wider turbomachinery community.
