Background

After internal discussions, the ETN Global Additive Manufacturing Working Group agreed to launch a new online webinar series. The quarterly episodes of such initiative will cover different aspects of additive manufacturing and its application in turbomachinery.

The objective is to make use of available expertise within the ETN Global community and share the existing achievements and ongoing developments.

Abstract of the webinar

ETN Global is inviting you to the second episode of its webinar series on “Additive Manufacturing”, which will take place on Monday, 18 May 2026 from 15:00 to 16:00 (CET).

Nejib Chekir (Manager of Materials R&D, Liburdi) will present his Organisation’s development and implementation of additive manufacturing technologies for repair and qualification.

More in detail, Nejib will address three key questions during the upcoming webinar:

• Where is additive manufacturing already delivering tangible value for repairs, upgrades or spare parts?
• What technological developments, qualification (evidence), certification and contractual barriers must be addressed to enable wider AM use for new and legacy parts?
• What is the overview of the repair market, and how did its drivers evolve during the last three decades?
